How it is made
NAKAI Steamed Roast. Organic, from Usuki, Oita, a mountain area with little sunlight, where the tea is carefully tended. Made from steamed tamaryokucha: the stems are moistened and steamed until plump, then roasted, which gives RIKAN its soft mouthfeel.

Serving Suggestions
Iced Matcha Americano
- Place 2g of matcha into a tea bowl.
- Pour 30ml of hot water at 70°C (158°F) and whisk until frothy.
- Pour into a glass filled with ice.
- Add 100–140ml of cold water and stir gently.
Hot Matcha Americano
- Place 2g of matcha into a tea bowl.
- Pour 20ml of hot water at 60°C (140°F) and whisk until smooth.
- Add 100–140ml of hot water at 80°C (176°F) and stir gently.
Brewing Guide
For extra sweetness and umami, whisk with water below 60°C (140°F). Lower temperature reveals a smoother, gentler flavor.
